⚠️ Deprecation Notice

The PAX A920 is a legacy terminal and is no longer actively offered for new installations. For new setups, Nexi Switzerland recommends migrating to the Ingenico DX8000, which provides improved performance, modern Android capabilities, and long-term platform support.

The PAX A920 is a modern Android-based payment terminal designed for mobile and in-store payment acceptance. It combines a touchscreen interface, integrated printer, and strong connectivity, making it a versatile all-in-one device for merchants.

At Nexi Switzerland, the A920 is positioned as a standalone terminal. It is particularly suited for merchants who require mobility while still benefiting from an integrated receipt printer and a full-featured payment experience.

Typical Use Cases

The A920 is designed for merchants who need a flexible, mobile payment terminal with built-in receipt capabilities. It is particularly well suited for hospitality, retail, delivery services, and service-based businesses.

It is also a strong fit for environments where both mobility and immediate receipt printing are required, such as table service or on-the-go transactions.

Key Characteristics

The A920 is an Android-based standalone terminal with a touchscreen interface and integrated printer. Its design combines mobility with full functionality, allowing merchants to accept payments anywhere without additional hardware.

The device supports contactless, chip, and magnetic stripe card acceptance, as well as mobile wallets. Built-in 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity enable independent operation without reliance on fixed infrastructure.

Depending on configuration, the terminal may also support QR-based payments and additional value-added services.

Payment Methods

Depending on the merchant setup and the services enabled, the A920 can support a broad range of payment methods. This includes international card schemes, debit and credit cards, and mobile wallets.

Where configured, the terminal may also support QR-based payment methods such as TWINT, as well as other alternative payment methods.

For the full list of supported payment methods and any provider-specific requirements, refer to the general Payment Methods documentation.

The visible menu and available functions on the A920 may vary depending on the merchant configuration, enabled services, activated payment methods, terminal state, and contractual setup.
