Nexi supports online payment acceptance through a range of flexible e-commerce solutions, enabling merchants to accept payments securely across websites, mobile applications, and remote channels.

At the core of our offering are Nexi-operated gateway solutions that can be combined directly with Nexi acquiring, depending on the merchant profile and project scope.

Nexi Paygate (formerly Computop) is available for selected merchants with established online processing needs and sufficient transaction volume. It is typically positioned for more advanced or larger-scale e-commerce setups. Nexi Checkout (formerly Nexi Easy) is currently not available for Swiss merchants. In addition, several external payment service providers (PSPs) support Nexi acquiring, including Adyen, Datatrans, Saferpay, PostFinance, and Wallee.

For new integrations, a direct setup through a Nexi PSP is generally preferred when available, as it usually provides the most up-to-date experience for both merchants and consumers.

Integration Models

Depending on the business model and technical capabilities, online payments can be integrated in different ways:

Hosted Payment Page

Customers are redirected to a secure payment page hosted by the provider. This approach requires minimal integration effort and is the fastest way to start accepting payments. It follows the standard checkout flow where customers are redirected to a payment page and then returned to the shop.

Embedded / API Integration

Payment forms are integrated directly into the merchant’s website or application. This provides greater control over the user experience and branding, while requiring more development effort.

In-App Payments

Payments are handled directly within a mobile application using dedicated SDKs. This enables a seamless in-app checkout experience for customers, directly within iOS and Android applications.

Pay by Link

Payments are initiated by sending a payment link to the customer (e.g. via SMS, email, or messaging apps). This is particularly useful for remote sales, customer support scenarios, or businesses without a full online shop.

Security and Compliance

All e-commerce solutions follow industry security standards, including PCI DSS requirements and strong customer authentication (SCA) where applicable. Sensitive payment data is handled securely by the gateway or PSP, reducing the compliance burden for merchants.
