Quick Links
Handle the Terminal with Care
The A77 must be handled carefully during daily use and maintenance.
Do not try to open the terminal beyond the covers and parts described in this guide. Opening or tampering with the secure housing can damage the device, make it stop working, or cause the terminal to be blocked for security reasons.
If the terminal appears damaged, has been dropped, shows battery issues, or behaves unexpectedly after maintenance, stop using it and contact Nexi support.
Important
If you notice any battery issue, such as swelling, overheating, leakage, an unusual smell, or visible damage, stop using the terminal immediately. Disconnect the battery if it is safe to do so and contact Nexi support.
Insert or Replace the SIM Card
The A77 can use a SIM card for mobile connectivity. For information about mobile connectivity configuration, see Mobile Network.
Always use the correct SIM card size for your terminal. SIM cards are available in different form factors:

The A77 requires a microSIM card. Do not insert a smaller SIM card loosely into the slot or use a SIM card that does not fit correctly.
- Turn off the terminal.
- Open the battery cover.
- Remove the battery if needed to access the SIM card slots.
- Insert the microSIM card into SIM slot 1.
- Make sure the SIM card is fully inserted and sits correctly in the slot.
- Reinsert the battery if it was removed.
- Close the battery cover.
- Turn the terminal back on.

Important
Do not force the SIM card into the slot. If the SIM card does not fit, check that you are using the correct SIM card format and that it is aligned correctly.
Remove or Reconnect the Battery
The A77 uses a removable battery. You may need to remove or reconnect it during setup, SIM card insertion, or troubleshooting.
- Turn off the terminal.
- Open the battery cover.
- Carefully remove the battery.
- To reconnect the battery, align it correctly and place it back into position.
- Make sure the battery is properly seated.
- Close the battery cover.
- Turn the terminal back on.

Make sure the battery is properly seated before closing the battery cover. If the battery is not correctly connected, the terminal may not turn on or may lose power unexpectedly.
Cleaning and Handling
Keep the terminal clean and dry during daily use.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the outside of the terminal. Do not use aggressive cleaning products, excessive liquid, or sharp objects.
Do not insert foreign objects into the SIM slot, charging port, card reader, or any other opening of the terminal.
If the terminal is exposed to liquid, physical damage, or unusual heat, stop using it and contact Nexi support.
