Network Requirements

This page lists network destinations, ports, and hostnames that may be required for Nexi Switzerland payment terminals. Use it when configuring merchant networks, firewalls, proxies, or allowlists for standalone and integrated terminal setups.
Important: IP addresses can change at any time and without prior notice. Nexi cannot guarantee that this list remains permanently correct. Prefer DNS-based allowlisting when a hostname is available, and review the required rules with Nexi before a production rollout.
Security notice: Do not ping or actively probe Nexi DNS endpoints. Nexi security systems may block the source IP address.
For reliable operation:
- use a stable LAN or Wi-Fi connection for integrated terminals
- use a DHCP reservation or static terminal IP address when the POS or ECR connects directly to the terminal
- allow the required external endpoints before activating or testing a terminal
- prefer DNS-based allowlisting when a hostname is provided
- avoid network inspection, TLS inspection, or proxy configurations that may interfere with terminal communication
- keep firewall rules limited to the terminal type, environment, payment methods, and services used by the merchant

For an OPI integration, the POS or ECR communicates with the payment terminal on the local network. The required ports depend on the terminal configuration and integration model.

Make sure the POS or ECR can reach the terminal on the configured OPI pay-channel port and that local firewalls also allow terminal callbacks to the POS, ECR, or OPI Proxy host. For the OPI Proxy defaults, this is normally proxy to terminal on TCP 4100 and terminal to proxy on TCP 4102.
Only allow the services used by the merchant's acquiring and terminal configuration.
Nexi and legacy Concardis naming are grouped here as one entity.
